Which is better, LCD or OLED?

I often hear others compare LCD and OLED LCD screens. Although these two representation methods have some similarities, do you know? They represent two completely different fields, and the differences between them are also very large. So what are the differences between LCD and OLED LCD screens? We together look.
First, the characteristics of LCD

LCD, also known as liquid crystal display, is a display that uses liquid crystal to control light transmittance technology to achieve color. From the perspective of the structure of the liquid crystal display, the LCD consists of two parallel glass plates with a thickness of about 1 mm, which are separated by a uniform interval of 5 μm containing the liquid crystal material. Because the liquid crystal material itself does not emit light, there will be set There is a lamp tube as a light source, and there is generally a backlight panel on the back of the LCD screen, which is mainly used to provide a uniform background light source.

Due to the fact that the liquid crystal display has a specific direction when outputting the light source, if people stand at a very oblique angle and watch a completely white picture, they are likely to see black or color distortion. And because everyone's vision range is different, if you don't stand within the best angle, there will be errors in the colors you see.
Although the phenomenon of color distortion will appear when viewing the LCD display in a certain environment, this does not mean that the LCD has no advantages at all. It is reasonable to exist, and the LCD still has many advantages. For example, the power consumption that consumers are most concerned about, the power consumption of LCD is relatively small, and generally LCD displays use digital interfaces, which are very convenient to use.

Second, the characteristics of OLED LCD screen

In addition to the LCD display, the OLED LCD screen is more high-end. The working principle of the OLED LCD screen is to use the ITO glass transparent electrode and the metal electrode as the anode and cathode respectively during the period. Under a certain voltage drive, electrons and holes are injected from the cathode and the anode to the electron transport layer and the hole transport layer respectively. Then they migrate to the light-emitting layer and emit visible light after excitation.

Compared with LCD, although the cost of OLED LCD screen is relatively high, its fast response time can be shortened to a subtle level, because it does not need a backlight, so it has the characteristics of wide viewing angle, and the viewing angle width can be as high as 170 degrees. In addition, since the OLED LCD screen can theoretically display infinite colors, even if it is displayed in black, it can achieve a completely black screen, which has a great advantage in contrast.
